House front viewed from WNW
Here is my house in the Melbourne suburbs which we had built in 1967. It has three bedrooms, one bathroom, and one toilet, and there we raised our family of three children. In the early 1970s we had a room added, seen here at the left.

Nothing more was done until late 2004, when we paid for internal redecorating, some outside painting, and roof repairs. Glenyce and I are in our late 60s, and we intend to stay here for some time. It is a relatively quiet residential street close to shopping centres and a good restaurant area dominated by Asian influences, which suits us very well.

The photo above shows the front our our house, which faces the sunset, and cops the hot Melbourne northerlies and the cold winter winds, which slam into the left-hand, northern side as seen here.

For ease of viewing, especially at dialup speeds, I have divided the tour into three parts. Each part consists of about 400kB of pictures, with about 17 pictures in each. It starts at the other side of the house, in the back yard. Imagine going through that white gate, around the side past the gas-heater, under the cheap plastic little gazebo, past the gas BBQ, and along the lawns past the quintessentially Australian Hill's-hoist rotary clothesline.

Part 1 starts at the back yard, throught the main activity rooms of the family room, kitchen and TV room.

Part 2 shows the lounge room, hallway and the front of the house.

Part 3 shows the passageway, computer/ironing/sewing room, the bedrooms, toilet, bathroom and laundry, back out to the backyard.

We hope you enjoy our experiment with photography of our house, and that you will be convinced that there is absolutely nothing here worth stealing!!
